Moving Mountains and Turning Watercourses Is Easier Than Changing Someone

I sincerely hope I got the topic of this entry right. Do forgive me if I mixed it up.
I'm going to start without further a-do.

I agree with the statement.
Nothing can stop nature from taking it's course. The process of withering stones with wind, rain, and sunlight, rivers widening and taking up land. It takes thousands of years to change it completely, but each day, step by step, it changes still.

A person, however, is an entirely different matter.  Unless someone wants their mind changed, they will never back down on their beliefs. In every argument, one or even both people might be wrong. The wiser one will admit his fault, but the other won't out of principal. I, personally, rarely agree with someone. In most cases I'm right, in others I am wrong and I admit it, but sometimes, when the argument takes a personal pov turn, then hell, no one will make me change my mind. Even if I know I'm wrong, I'm not going to admit it. Ever. I won't apologize, either. The only exception in this case is the necessity of keeping the relationship going for one reason or another.

So, as you see, the human factor, or, rather, the power of thought, plays a big role in changing (or preserving) things.

I'm sorry this turned out rather short, but I really can't think of some other explanation and the existing one is, well, easy to explain.
