The world as i see it

The world. Why are we living here? What for? I've been thinking a lot about these questions, but i haven't understood yet. And i'm sure that even in the future humanity won't find the answer for them. So now, i want to describe just my thoughts, that i have in my mind, they are not as philosophical as i wanted to have, but they are mine.

First i want to say some words about myself. At first sight i'm just a usual girl, with goes to school and like sweets and dancing. May be it is true. But i believe that i'm something or someone more than it, and if i'm not - i will. I really love my family, because it gave me all i have now, they "made" me (not at all but they gave a basis). Sometimes i imagine my life in the other place with other people, and it frighten me. It doesn't mean i'm against changes, opposite i like them, because they make my life more interesting and unusual, that just mean that i'm a human. Now, i have many hobbies that also adorn my life. I like to forget everything while dancing, painting, reading. Despite i forget everything, my mind and my soul feel complete.

From my point of view, the most important thing in my life is a belief and i don't mean religion, i just want each person not to give up, even if he finds all this world is pointless and wants to finish all this strange gave. We should dream, we should discover, travel, smile, cry, feel, work. And of course we should love and be happy. For me, to love and be loved is one of the greatest gifts in the world.

The world as I see it

I read other posts on this theme, because I don't really understand what to write. MY world is immense.  And I don't know how to talk about it in one post. Even if only the main things - they won't go in. So I'll talk about my opinion on things, that my classmates already talked about.
I don't think, that the age of person plays a big role in the way he sees the world. You can be 30/40, but not cleverer than the men in his twenties. As I see - you should count from his experience, because the time is nothing compared to things, that we live through.
I was born in Moscow and the first language that I learned was russian. But my family is armenian, they moved to Russia after the collapse of USSR. So that is my biggest complex. That I don't really have a motherland. When I am in Erevan - everybody speaks with me in russian (even that I know armenian) and all in a all call me a russian person. But in Moscow I'm armenian for everybody. So I am not a part of something. Of something big, huge, enormous. And I never understand poems about motherland of such a great poets as Yesenin, Bloc and etc.
The other thing - is education. I always liked literature and math. And could never diced which one I like more, which is more "mine", you know? But then I realized, that in our world (and especially in our country) money is one of the most important things. And I am not confident in thinking, that the profession of journalist will help me to have them. So the choice is obvious.
The most important things in my life are books and music. I can't say, that I'm good at it, because I read/listen only things, that I like and can't force myself to do something, that I don't. But in books, in music I can find myself. It is like a small world in my head in which I can return when everything in the other one, the big one, is making me sick.
I think person's world is a list of things, that he likes, that he feels, that he does everyday. All this little things accumulates in something uniform and we call it "our world".

Sometimes it is harder to change human's nature, than rivers and mountains. However, rivers and mountains are also considered as nature in its wider sense and that nature appears to be the various and complicated system on the planet, called the Earth. Which is known as a habitat of a Man. So the say, that it is easier to change outside than inside.

Now let's stand back from the discussion and try looking into the history. Can you say, that humans character is similar to the one, that was thousand years ago? If it is too much, take half a thousand. Are the way of acting, goals and values of a man nowadays the same, that a man in twenties century had? Since the time, human being inherited the Earth, he has been changing the world for his comfort. And definitely has been changing himself, according to the conditions he made.

A person truly can adapt to any circumstances. And that is good, because many of them are out of our will. Life often limits people's choice, and circumstances affect people's views. That's why after a great changes of our lives, we also change a lot.

No idea about introduction, topic is a little bit dark for me. So, I begin immediately.
Changing people is difficult, this fact is incontestable. Character includes many traits, and remove one or all of them seems quite impossible. In modern community it's customary to respect individualiry of every person, take into account special aspects of temper. And this fact sounds funny for me. So, it means, that you can do everything you want, and nobody can remark on your behavior: that's just a kind of character, get over it. Rubbish! If you conduct yourself like a rude fellow, you have to not only think about everyone's politeness. If  you don't play any role in social life, don't cry and complain. Work at your own personality, become stronger.
Some people think, that changing human nnature is much harder, that to change rivers and mountains. Of course. Theoretically, we don't make every effor for drill stone or stop a stream, with modern technologies it's easy. But there is a big difference between these changes. Human can do with his character quite everythig he wants. Yes, it takes much time, but temper is alterable.
In contrast to nature. You can't fix a mountain, fill again a river, grow a forest in the shake of a hand. Nevertheless we still destroy it feel free, because it's easy. And who cares.
Of course character changing is time-consuming, hard and sometimes painful. But we can return it at any time. Nature is more variable. And irretrievable.
Sorry for confusion, mistakes and thank you for attention.

It is harder to change human nature than to change rivers and mountains.

Hi there! Today we are talking about human nature in comparison with real nature that surrounds us every day.

I've read previous posts (by my classmates), and sometimes I agreed with their points of view, and sometimes I didn't. So, this post is not absolutely independent (

What can we say about Real Nature? Of course, it is a big, enormous power. Humanity exists for 150000 years (I talk about exactly our specie), BUT (!) we still can do almost nothing with our nature (except predicting and some pathetic attempts). Yes, I exaggerate, but hey.

What about human nature? Every single person is unique. Everybody has own habits, hobbies, problems etc. And people are really difficult creatures. It is necessary to have personal attitude to every personality. There are lots of professions that are connected to psychology, because it is really tricky.

But, to be truthful, I wouldn't say that it's harder to change human nature. If you have some experience of communicating with people, you will be able to influence on somebody. Of course, it is hard to change someone comletly, but still you can do it step by step. If you are in close relationship with someone, you can try, and sometimes it will work.

Finally, I want to say that it is difficult to change someone, but if you really want, if you desire, you may succeed.

"It is harder to change human nature than to change rivers and mountains".

Human, firstly, is a personality. You can’t apply the same approach to each. People are different - shy, broad-minded, aggressive, stubborn. Every man to his own taste. And each has its own features - both physical and mental. You need to know how to approach to each. And this, believe me, is almost impossible.
As for the nature - it is the only one. And for many millenniums. People already know how to tame natural cataclysms, how to create sculptures from stone, paper from trees, food from animals.
But human is different. The only one who can understand him - is himself. And even then not always. For example me. My biggest problem - is myself. My features. If I knew what to change, everything in my life would be easier. But this ia a dream. An impossible dream.
Only man himself can make him change. But the point is that very often even he don’t know how.
As for me - human being is very complex. The power of thought, for example. You can drain the lake, but not the thought, unless this  person woun’t let you do it.
It's harder to change human nature than to change rivers and mountains
Everybody has different characteristics, preferences, goals of lives from their childhood. A person lives in their own world and he creates and makes his life good or bad. He is like a painter of it. When you want to say and change life of someone it is a stupid idea because people do not listen to advise of other people and have their own opinion. That's why changing human nature is very difficult and you better not do it. As for nature changing I can say that nowadays you can easily find impact of people in different nature ways - mountains, rivers, waterfalls and other things. That's why better change something around you than people.

Moving Mountains and Turning Watercourses Is Easier Than Changing Someone

I sincerely hope I got the topic of this entry right. Do forgive me if I mixed it up.
I'm going to start without further a-do.

I agree with the statement.
Nothing can stop nature from taking it's course. The process of withering stones with wind, rain, and sunlight, rivers widening and taking up land. It takes thousands of years to change it completely, but each day, step by step, it changes still.

A person, however, is an entirely different matter.  Unless someone wants their mind changed, they will never back down on their beliefs. In every argument, one or even both people might be wrong. The wiser one will admit his fault, but the other won't out of principal. I, personally, rarely agree with someone. In most cases I'm right, in others I am wrong and I admit it, but sometimes, when the argument takes a personal pov turn, then hell, no one will make me change my mind. Even if I know I'm wrong, I'm not going to admit it. Ever. I won't apologize, either. The only exception in this case is the necessity of keeping the relationship going for one reason or another.

So, as you see, the human factor, or, rather, the power of thought, plays a big role in changing (or preserving) things.

I'm sorry this turned out rather short, but I really can't think of some other explanation and the existing one is, well, easy to explain.

Human nature is much more stronger than the Earth nature. Simple desire and efforts are not enough to change a human being.

Only the man can change himself and nobody else. For example only on his own will he can turn from a nervous into a calm person. However I should mention one thing: changing the nature is possible when a person is clever enough to analyze his own behavior and his position in society
.
It’s quite easy to change rivers and mountains because of modern technologies – you can blow a mountain, you can dig a new estuary. Human beings use the chemicals and the nature changes the image. The nature changes itself due to external biological laws, which you can be influenced by a human being. Ecology is changing because of the human activities.

One of the evidences is a famous dystopia by Anthony Burgess “A Clockwork orange”, where the lead character Alex is a cruel and immoral teenager, getting into prison. He was given an experimental behaviour-modification treatment. Because of this experiment he stopped to be violent. At the beginning the doctors turned Alex into a “kind” and harmless person, but after a while he returned to his old behaviour– he became violent and started committing cruel murders. This novel illustrates, that even strong psychological impact can’t change a man.

I can not but mention a novel by Ken Kessey “One Float Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, where you can see changes of personality of mentally sick people in asylum influenced by one man. Patrick McMurphy – the lead character, was a rioter, who was able to change the beliefs and motivations of the loonies but this happened when these miserable people realized the need to change. In the end of the novel the patients escaped from the hospital without caring about the consequences. It is an illustration that even mentally sick people can change themselves if they want to.

I know how it’s hard to change my opinion about something until I understand the need of these changes. I really personally believe that it is easier to change rivers and mountains rather than to change a person.
