Is media lying to us?

Is media lying to us?
The influence can not be overrated. It is the most powerful tool ever. I am sure that media lies a lot. It's not always bad, but it can be. For example, I'll speak about Ukrainian/American and Russian media. They give ABSOLUTELY different information about 1 problem. And it causes lots of disputes between Ukrainian and Russian people. Between people, who lived in the same country 20 years ago! It seemed that these two nations could not be splitted, But with the help of media it was done. There millions of examples, but it was the first I thought about.
I'm also sure that some TV shows, such as TV quizes and reality programs are fake. They are made just to raise the ratings of the channel.
In conclusion I'd like to say that every person has to think by his own head and don't trust to everything that he sees.

Is the media lying to us?
It is not an easy question. At present people are surrounded by many diffirent sources of information such as TV, magazines, internet, advertisements and probably nespapers, i don't think that many people  read them nowadays. Anyway, all this types of media have got the essential influence on our life. Because you can find it everywhere whether want you or not. There are plenty of big posters all around telling you what a great new pen or mobile phone they have constructed specially for you. But when you buy it you see that it isn't as good as they said. So the question is can we trust the media?
Well to find the answer to this question we can  just open a magazine or turn on the TV and see a lot of things that will "improve your life" as they say showing us a bar of chocolate or a pair of shoes...And this is the way the television works, everyone says that his product is the best in the world even without thinking about any disadvantages of it. Just in case of getting more money.
But maybe the problem is only about advertisments and we also have got news programes with serious and reliable people speaking things based on real facts... But what if the news show us only a small part of the real events. Because they can tell us everything they want to. This way they can tell us almost the truth and in diffirent ways just for some own benefits. But we should be careful and prove the facts we are going to belive to. And we should make our own opinions and think about that.

Is media lying to us?
This is these kind of questions, that everyone has their own opinion, but no one can explain it. It depends on the media, that you listen to. If you only watch tv channels like RenTV, or TV3, than you are ,obviously, not a smart man. They always make up ridiculously stupid and unbelievable storys. But if you listen to independent sources, than you still can't be safe. I prefer to read news on several sources, to make sure, about information. But media still can exaggerate some news. Sometimes there can be disinformation, and news lie, without a wish to lie. This is why no one should trust any media.

Is the media lying to us?

Nowdays people surrounded by colorful information. There are plenty of big posters everywhere, telling us about some trendy cars, telephones et., but majority of them aren't as good as they seem. In the Internet there are lots of articles about politicians 50% of whih is not true. So can we believe to any information, that media gives us?
There are many advertising companies, which produce variety of different advertisements every day. Major of this advertising is not true, but there are some posters which tell us when will some new films begin in cinemas or some posters which warn drivers to be careful on the road.
The biggest problem is what information we can trust in the Internet? In the internet we can find information about everything, but lots of sites are fake, so it's really hard to find what you actually need.
Can we trust media? We should understand, that there are lots of lies evrywhere, but it doesn't mean, that there are no truth. We can easily find it, but not all of us want to know it.

Is the media lying to us?

Nowadays people get information from different sources, for example from the Internet, newspapers, magazines, advertisements and TV. But the question is can we trust them? Are they always telling the truth?

Let us take the Internet for example. Personally I think, that it is number one liar. I always bump into rediculous information, news, videos and obviously photoshoped photos while surfing the net. For example, yesterday I saw a false information about the death of a famous Russian actor, but to be honest I didn`t believe because I am used to that kind of incorrect news.

Speaking about advertisements, I don`t believe them niether. The point is, that they don`t show us the both sides of their products, always hide disadvantages, which are sometimes more important than advantages. Once I saw an advertisement of a perfect hair loss shampoo and it really worked, but after using that shampoo I faced another problem- dandruff.

The third example shows us that we can face false information on TV too. Despite the fact that the TV lies to us much less than other sources, we also can`t absolutely trust it. The first thing that came on my mind is the TV show on REN TV about the UFO. It was told that a countryman saw an alien, but it suddenly disappeared.

To sum it up I`d like to say that there are lots of these kind of examples which make us not to believe the media.
Honesty in the Media

Nowadays, the influence of media on our life is so huge that it makes it one of the most important things defining our lifestyle, thoughts and relationships.
All the information we've got is coming from media. Every time we are interested in « what is happening in the world», we are turning TV on to watch the news without caring whether the info given is truthful or not.
There is also an Internet which keeps getting more prevalent among a new generation, allowing anyone to write everything he wants to make people believe in fairy tales causing many misunderstandings between people who found out a different information about the same thing.
Because of this differently narrated information, there are several parties which support different points of view. Cause of low quality of controlling the information on many sites, people spend their precious time arguing.
If talking about honesty in some quiz or reality shows, in my point of view, they are all built on lies, people can't behave so confidently and brightly, easily express their emotions, being invited on the television for the first time.
It goes without saying that Advertising also can't exist without embellishment. Products can't bring profits to their owners without a well-crafted description.
All this leads to a sad thought that today it is quite difficult to find the real truth, buried under a pile of lies. Maybe we should search for it in less popular media, like Radio or smth, but who can provide us the reliability of these sources in the future.

Is the media lying to us?

Nowadays people face different information at every step: while watching TV, reading a newspaper or a magazine, while walking and surfing the Internet. The media is everywhere and all the informations we get from it, has an influence on us. But is all this information truthful? And how does the media affect our life?
When we watch TV or open a magazine and see an advertisment with beautiful models in it, we think they are perfect. Every time I see such girls on TV or in the magazine, I become jealous of their perfect body, beautiful face and hair and really disappointed about myself. I just don't inderstand how they can be perfect! But then I find their photos made by paparazzi and see how they look in real life: no perfect tan, no perfect body, no beautiful hair and no beautiful face. And no reason for disappointment fot me. Advertisment promises to make us slim and good-looking, offer to earn a lot of money without working and to buy a lot of useful things that will make our life better. But it doesn't tell that diet pills are seriously harmful for our health, melting in the mouth chocolate sweets won't help us to find our love and the price of messages we send to get a chance to win in a lottery are higher than of a prize.
Many people say that they may not beleive the advertisment, but they beleive news that they think are based on real facts and cannot lie. But what if news show only a half of real events? What if programms tell it in different ways for some own benefit?
Sometimes people come under this influence because they want to beleive that they can become rich and good-looking hand over fist. But we should be careful and always prove the facts we are going to beleive. And then always make our own opinion about such tihngs to keep out of such lie.

Honesty in the Media

Media – is vast and developing structure of public communications and ways of data transfer. We face Mass Media everywhere, on the streets, on the TV, at the bar, in magazines and at the billboards. So, every our step is followed by Media, therefore, it influences ourselves. But the question is whether this information is thruthful or no.

Firstly, let`s take fashion magazines as example. Their pages are full of pictures with ideal models, which present and sell us anti-ageing cream (for example). We look at the result – model`s face and see no wrinkles at all. And, surely, we are obliged to buy this product after such an unbelievable advertisement. Unfortunately, we are too gullible to understand that it is just an advertising trick to make money. Indeed, all this ideal face is just a professional work of photoshop master.

Secondly, Internet is very comfortable way to find out the newest data. It promises the easiest way to earn money, to win a lottery. But it is just a simple scam with the predatory goal.

Thirdly, let`s study TV Media. Every channel and absolutely every program lies to us, excepting children ones and animal documentary films. TV news are lying to us, they provide us with mendacious information to soothe us or, on the contrary, to make us scary about the future.

Eventually, honesty in the Media is the rarest phenomenon and there is very low  percent of right information.

The secret of happiness
In my opinion the secret of happiness is a set of "ingredients", unfortunately you can`t be happy if you have only one or two "ingredients"
The first "ingredient" is family. I`d even say that this ingredient is the most important because whatever happens you can always find understanding and love in your family.
The second "ingredient" is friends. It doesn`t matter whether you have 10 friends or only one, a true friend ia a person who cares of you as much as he cares of himself or even more, who is glad to help you anytime and who simply makes you laugh.
The third thing that can make you happy is a job. Seriously it is very important to love your job and do it well because the job occupies the most part of your life and if you dont like it,  how can you be happy?
And the last "ingredient" is traveling, because when you travel you find something new each time. That`s the way you develope, learn more languages, culturies and make more relations.
So it is not so hard to be happy, I am convinced that if I have all these ingredients, I will be happy.

Why there is no family quite like mine?

Why there is no family quite like mine? I think that all the families are different. Every family has its history, different relationships and the atmosphere in it.  I don't know if my family really differ from others and can’t claim it’s special, but my family is special for me. Family is one of the most important part of our life. Moreover, maybe the most important at all. For me family is the little world where I'm growing up and developing. The world, where I always receive support. The circle of relative people who would always be close to you whatever happens. Family has its own traditions and history that can help you to understand who you are. Family has its own rules that teach you how to live. Family teachs you how to take care of people who you love. I am grateful to my parents for what have they done for me and how have they brought me up. I wouldn’t be myself whithout my family. Every person is special and what make us special very often depends on our family at first because it gives us clear vision of life. Perhaps that’s why there is no family quite like mine - because it’s made me who I am now.

The secret of happiness

My secret of happiness
What makes me happy? First, feeling that I'm alive.Seriously. I'm fond of my life, I adore everything that surrounds me. My parents brought me up as a loving person, probably,it was really hard to deal with me in my childhood because I was naughty and insolent, but always loving.
So,the secret of happines is to love each thing that was given to you . When adversities and failures visit you,you have to know that everything will be fine in the end.
Second thing that can make you happy -is people. This who can really bring you either the greatest happiness in the world  or the most destroying unhappiness.
When someone loves you and you make someone happy, you feel like the best person in the world.
I live everyday like it's my last:say what I want,do what I want, love what I want. That's my secret of happiness.

The secret of happiness.

The secret of happiness

Ther are lots of things that can make a person happy. For some people it's a bowl of soup and for some it's a birth of a child. Aristotle said "happiness depend upon ourselves" and I completely agree with him.

As for me, the way to happiness lies in family. If you have the wife, children, mother, father, sister, brother and other siblings, that you love, you will be happy, even if you are poor, ill, wick and et.c.
There are also lots of small things, that make me really happy. They are:  win of my football team, good food, long sleep, scoring of a goal in a football match. This list can be pretty big. I'm sure, that everyone must have these small things that make them happy. "One of the secrets of a happy life is continuous small treats." —Iris Murdoch

At the end I'd like to say, that there is no specific key to happiness. It's individual for everybody. Who searches, finds!

Smirnov Ivan

Key to happiness.

Key to happiness.
This topic is very interesting, because around of opinions matches of amound of people. Everyone wants to be happy, and everyone knows how he can become happy. In my opinion happyness is composed of several aspects: money, good people around you, health and enjoyment of life. If anything from those four falls, than you won't be happy. Lots of people think, that there is no need in money, and you can be happy without it, but it is a lie. Of course there can be some little things, that make you happy, such as rainbow, or walking in a rainy day, but it won't last for long.

The secret of happiness

Everyone have got their own secret of happiness, bacause every person understand it in their own way.

As for me, I can say that lots of different things make me happy, but on different levels of happiness. The first level — my friends. They can make me happy like noone else. Next level — travelling, because when I'm travelling somewhere I always feel this new place and it's always very exiting to see life of people from different countries. Also, I don't really know why, but sometimes dancing makes me really happy. Not just dancing, but some thought- out dance. The next level — some ordinary things around us, like books, photos ets. They make my feel cose.

But, I sure that the most importante in our life are people who surround as, like our relatives and friends, because they know what can make you really happy.

My secret of happiness.

The secret of happiness.

As every person is unique by his personality, there are so many different things that make us happy. Our mood can change several times during the day and we can adjust it by making things that we like.
For me happiness means feeling satisfied and lucky about something you've done. I get the most emotions during traveling. You never know what happens next, but if it's something what makes you feel lucky for a while - it's a feeling of happiness for me. I feel happy about meeting some people, not even expecting to meet them someday. That is the "big" meaning of happiness for me.
Talking about my everyday schedule, I feel happy when I'm not tired in the morning, when I wake up late or stay in for a while in my bed. Even better, then the weather outside is sunny and warm, that's why I leave my curtains opened at night. I also like when my little brother wakes me up, because I find it really cute :) After that I usually have a big cup of tea with milk and prepare myself some breakfast.
Of course it makes me happy if I don't have to go to school or if it starts later than usual.
When I'm having a bad mood, it helps me when I go on tennis practice. Always helps. I give all my emotions to sport and after I don't have power to think negative and worry about something. So I would say that doing sports makes me extremely happy.
Other way to avoid sad thoughts for me is going to bed earlier. I always wake up vigorously and joyfully and forget all the bad things happened the day before.
Meeting friends at the weekends, going out with family and visiting grandparents and other relatives - those are the things which make any ordinary person happy, including me.
It would sound a bit weird, because I'm a girl, but I enjoy watching football and especially the matches of FC Bayern. And it makes me happy when they win (that means always :) )
So my secret of happiness is: do what you love and love what you do.
 The secret of happiness

The term "happiness" has many different meanings. For one man it could be wealth and glory, while for the other one it's a smile of a dear person.
It can take a lifelong way to understand what it really means for you, but actually it is something that is closest to your heart and mind. Look around, you will realize that this lovely feeling can be found in the farthest corner of your soul, where you would never expect to find it. Maybe you just do not notice it, passing by every day.
No matter how lonely you are, there are so many opportunities to find happiness. For instance: new friends, relationships, books, traveling, career, hobby etc, just chose your own way.
I think everyone should have this special thing, which makes him happy, existence of the person demands it, his self-esteem and purpose in life.
In the most difficult times (during the world and civil wars), people were able to find something light and good in every ray of the sun, which means that everybody is able to do this, it is important not to reject help from people who are trying  to show you the right direction.

Secret of happiness.
In my opinion secret of happiness is traveling. Cause every time you go somewhere far, really far from your city you feel freedom and independence. I think it  is a great feeling. Then, after your arrival into an unknown country you can become a part of different new culture : learn their language, find some relations, see some historical sights and do a lot of other interesting things which can make you a part of their society.
Otherwise, there are a lot of traveling such as camping, climbing the mountains or crossing the sea. They can bring you very exciting feelings which can turn into a great happiness...And finally, returning back home can make you very happy as well. For example, when you see your parents or old friends after being apart for a few years. So traveling can make you happy anyway.
But it is just my point of view and of course everyone has his own secret of happiness. And  i would like to add that our d
reams make us happier, so we should not stop doing that...

The secret of happiness

Happiness- what is it? For everyone word ‘happiness’  means absolutely different things. Some people believe that the secret of happiness implies possessing  big asset. Others stand for being happy in case they have a lot of children, hearty and friendly family.

As for me, happiness is much more than one certain thing. Generally, a lot of things have impact on my level of happiness. The first and the most important is my family and my friends, if they are happy, I will be happy too. Secondly, “happiness” is opportunity to spend my free time the way I wish.  My free time is visiting exhibitions, reading interesting books and watching memorable films. I adore all this things and I am totally inseparable from them.  Thirdly, opportunity to travel, to find out new places is essential as the more we travel the more we know and therefore we are more happier.

That was my brief secret of happiness. Of course, my list of fads is far bigger, but the most important were mentioned.

Eventually, I would like to add that our dreams make us happier, so we should not stop doing it..

Is my family Unique?

Is my family unique?
It's a hard question to answer. As the member of my family, I'd like to say that my family is the best one, but so think most of the people in the world.
Honestly, I think that most of the families are similar, and my is so. Majority says that their family is special and differs from other families. Nevertheless mostly everywhere mother and dad love their children, and children love their parents. Some people would say that they love each other more than anywhere. But I'm sure that the love can't be estimated.
In sum I'd like to say that I love my family as much as it possible. But I don't think that my family differs from others.
Why there is no family quite like mine?
We stay in the same society, but still our relationships and pastime are totally diverse. It influences our interrelations in the family.
Actually, there are some points that, probably, differ my family from others. First of all, I have awesome relationships with all members of my family. I can talk to them on every subject the sun. They’re capable of giving a supportive advice and realizing the heart of the problem.
Secondly, I have similar interests with every member of my family, so there’s more mutual understanding and passions in our family. For instance, I tend to visit some hockey matches with my father and I’m used to travelling with my mother.
As a result, it’s impossible to find the same family in the whole world. We always stay together despite troubles and distances and enjoy spending time altogether.
Why there is no family quite like mine.
The answer lies on the surface-because I don't know for sure how another family lives,I have never experienced that and I can only make suppositions about life of the other's.
My family is like a quite harbour for me. We love each other more than ourselves. Unfortunately My parents  are divorced so I have to roam from one house-to the other, from my mum -to my dad. They parted when I was 8,it was a big blow for me.I got used to it eventually. Now I'm 16. More than anything, I love my dad, we have the same characters, even the same sense of humor. No one in the world understands me as much as him. Also I have the same appearance as him.  He loves football.
My mum is a warm and loving person. I love her smile, now you can find such a sincere smile very rare. She's very kind ,she lets me do almost everything I want. She cooks very tasty.
I adore my cousins. I've got 3. One is 7,his name is Fedya,he goes to the first form, likes football and karate. He looks like an angel with his blond hair and blue eyes. He's also very smart for his age. Another one is 14,he wants to enter this school next year, his name is Dima. He likes fighting as well. And watching movies.  We are very close because we live in the same house. Everyday we sit on the stairs and discuss the day or smth important that happened to us.
And the last one,Tima,he's 27. He lives in St Peterburg. He owns a night club. He always helps me when I need. I do the same for him. All of the men in my family are my defenders:)they always help and support me in difficult situations.
I love my family and proud of them.  Thanks God for my family.

Why there is no Family Quite Like Mine.

In my opinion all families are different, but they have something in common.
If talking about special characteristics of my family I can say that we are more friends than relatives, we spend a lot of time together entertaining ourselves many ways,go out somewhere on weekends, discuss our daily routine.
My family is a little part of society, where each problem could be understood and solved. There are no strict rules in relationships between each member, that's why we feel free and cosy.By sense of humor and acknowledging each other during long period of time we learned how to live in a quite versatile family(with diametrically opposed personalities).
In general we are an ordinary family with it's traditions, habits etc.We love celebrating holidays giving presents and planning a rest.
To sum up I'd like to add that it doesn't matter how far from home you are, the most important thing is to realize that somewhere in this world there is your soulmate, a person who will always love and wait for you.

'Why there is no Family Quite Like Mine.'

There is no such thing as same looking man, or same looking eyes. Same thing is with families. Every single family is different. So is our family. We are completly different and every single one of us loves each other in a special way. I have A brother, Mother, Father, Two Grandmothers and Two grandfathers. These are relatives that live in moscow. We are incredibly friendly family. Of course we have argues, but they are extremly rare due to my awareness of conflicts. Every time it starts smelling bad (figurative expression) i try to go with the stream and avoid a conflict, which are rare in our family. Probably this is why we are uniqe.
"There 's no family like mine"
I think that my family has  got a significant difference from other families just because we have perfect relations. We just haven 't had any conflicts for about 10 years or more as i remember. Ofcourse there were some small problems as messy room or dirty dishes, but we could always find a solution in 5 minuts. So, i think that makes my family special.

'Why there is no Family Quite Like Mine.

All families are quite different and there is nothing suprising about this, because people are different and usually there are quite different relations between relatives.

For example my mom and I have unstable relations. Sometimes we spend together lots of time and really have fun. We discuss some films, books, art and etc, and it's adorable, because it's interesting and I never notice how fast does time fly. But sometimes we have big disagreements about some subjects so we usually don't speak for quite a long time, but in the end it's all become good again. And that's not because we are bad family, it's because we have different characters and different opinions about different things and it's ok.
So there is really no family quite like mine. Every family relations are unique.

Tuesday, 28 January 2014

I live in an ordinary family, I have both parents and a younger brother, and I'm very happy to have them. My brother is 6 years old and is going to go to school next year. Each of my parents have a sister, who are my aunts. Both of my aunts have 2 children - 2 boys, that means I have 4 cousins. They are all older than me, one of them is 18, one is 22, one is 24 and  the other is 31. They all live in different cities in the suburbs of Moscow, that's why I see them not that often. My grandparents also live  far away from me, but I am very happy to have them (3 of them) and love visiting them with my family. My brother, obviously, doesn't have children, but my 23 years old cousin has a 2 years old daughter and a newborn son, they are my niece and nephew. My family is all Russian, I don't have any international roots. By the way, my cousin great-great-grandfather is a famous writer Arcady Gaydar. My family is unique, I'm proud to have my family the way it is, I have warm relationships with every member oft family.
'Why where is no Family Quite Like Mine'

Briefly, I am an ordinary, but diligent person used to study a lot. To be truthful, I don’t like lazing about the whole day, therefore there are a lot of activities I do. My favourite ones are drawing, reading classic Russian literature, practicing martial arts and swimming.

My family is my mother, father and my wise cat.  From one point of view my family is a typical family, but from another point of view it is unique. The major advantage, compared other families, is our warm and trustful relationships. I am proud of being able to tell my mum absolutely everything, even it is very personal and secret thing.

In general, my parents are very prolific and serious people, but they become funny, ridiculous at home.  Fortunately, we adore doing something together, for instance the more frequent kind of spending time is cooking. Everyone, including father is interested in it.

At the end I want to add, that I have nothing to complain about, as I am quite happy person and I suppose that I have everything I need.
