Is media lying to us?

Is media lying to us?
The influence can not be overrated. It is the most powerful tool ever. I am sure that media lies a lot. It's not always bad, but it can be. For example, I'll speak about Ukrainian/American and Russian media. They give ABSOLUTELY different information about 1 problem. And it causes lots of disputes between Ukrainian and Russian people. Between people, who lived in the same country 20 years ago! It seemed that these two nations could not be splitted, But with the help of media it was done. There millions of examples, but it was the first I thought about.
I'm also sure that some TV shows, such as TV quizes and reality programs are fake. They are made just to raise the ratings of the channel.
In conclusion I'd like to say that every person has to think by his own head and don't trust to everything that he sees.

Is the media lying to us?
It is not an easy question. At present people are surrounded by many diffirent sources of information such as TV, magazines, internet, advertisements and probably nespapers, i don't think that many people  read them nowadays. Anyway, all this types of media have got the essential influence on our life. Because you can find it everywhere whether want you or not. There are plenty of big posters all around telling you what a great new pen or mobile phone they have constructed specially for you. But when you buy it you see that it isn't as good as they said. So the question is can we trust the media?
Well to find the answer to this question we can  just open a magazine or turn on the TV and see a lot of things that will "improve your life" as they say showing us a bar of chocolate or a pair of shoes...And this is the way the television works, everyone says that his product is the best in the world even without thinking about any disadvantages of it. Just in case of getting more money.
But maybe the problem is only about advertisments and we also have got news programes with serious and reliable people speaking things based on real facts... But what if the news show us only a small part of the real events. Because they can tell us everything they want to. This way they can tell us almost the truth and in diffirent ways just for some own benefits. But we should be careful and prove the facts we are going to belive to. And we should make our own opinions and think about that.

Is media lying to us?
This is these kind of questions, that everyone has their own opinion, but no one can explain it. It depends on the media, that you listen to. If you only watch tv channels like RenTV, or TV3, than you are ,obviously, not a smart man. They always make up ridiculously stupid and unbelievable storys. But if you listen to independent sources, than you still can't be safe. I prefer to read news on several sources, to make sure, about information. But media still can exaggerate some news. Sometimes there can be disinformation, and news lie, without a wish to lie. This is why no one should trust any media.

Is the media lying to us?

Nowdays people surrounded by colorful information. There are plenty of big posters everywhere, telling us about some trendy cars, telephones et., but majority of them aren't as good as they seem. In the Internet there are lots of articles about politicians 50% of whih is not true. So can we believe to any information, that media gives us?
There are many advertising companies, which produce variety of different advertisements every day. Major of this advertising is not true, but there are some posters which tell us when will some new films begin in cinemas or some posters which warn drivers to be careful on the road.
The biggest problem is what information we can trust in the Internet? In the internet we can find information about everything, but lots of sites are fake, so it's really hard to find what you actually need.
Can we trust media? We should understand, that there are lots of lies evrywhere, but it doesn't mean, that there are no truth. We can easily find it, but not all of us want to know it.

Is the media lying to us?

Nowadays people get information from different sources, for example from the Internet, newspapers, magazines, advertisements and TV. But the question is can we trust them? Are they always telling the truth?

Let us take the Internet for example. Personally I think, that it is number one liar. I always bump into rediculous information, news, videos and obviously photoshoped photos while surfing the net. For example, yesterday I saw a false information about the death of a famous Russian actor, but to be honest I didn`t believe because I am used to that kind of incorrect news.

Speaking about advertisements, I don`t believe them niether. The point is, that they don`t show us the both sides of their products, always hide disadvantages, which are sometimes more important than advantages. Once I saw an advertisement of a perfect hair loss shampoo and it really worked, but after using that shampoo I faced another problem- dandruff.

The third example shows us that we can face false information on TV too. Despite the fact that the TV lies to us much less than other sources, we also can`t absolutely trust it. The first thing that came on my mind is the TV show on REN TV about the UFO. It was told that a countryman saw an alien, but it suddenly disappeared.

To sum it up I`d like to say that there are lots of these kind of examples which make us not to believe the media.
Honesty in the Media

Nowadays, the influence of media on our life is so huge that it makes it one of the most important things defining our lifestyle, thoughts and relationships.
All the information we've got is coming from media. Every time we are interested in « what is happening in the world», we are turning TV on to watch the news without caring whether the info given is truthful or not.
There is also an Internet which keeps getting more prevalent among a new generation, allowing anyone to write everything he wants to make people believe in fairy tales causing many misunderstandings between people who found out a different information about the same thing.
Because of this differently narrated information, there are several parties which support different points of view. Cause of low quality of controlling the information on many sites, people spend their precious time arguing.
If talking about honesty in some quiz or reality shows, in my point of view, they are all built on lies, people can't behave so confidently and brightly, easily express their emotions, being invited on the television for the first time.
It goes without saying that Advertising also can't exist without embellishment. Products can't bring profits to their owners without a well-crafted description.
All this leads to a sad thought that today it is quite difficult to find the real truth, buried under a pile of lies. Maybe we should search for it in less popular media, like Radio or smth, but who can provide us the reliability of these sources in the future.

Is the media lying to us?

Nowadays people face different information at every step: while watching TV, reading a newspaper or a magazine, while walking and surfing the Internet. The media is everywhere and all the informations we get from it, has an influence on us. But is all this information truthful? And how does the media affect our life?
When we watch TV or open a magazine and see an advertisment with beautiful models in it, we think they are perfect. Every time I see such girls on TV or in the magazine, I become jealous of their perfect body, beautiful face and hair and really disappointed about myself. I just don't inderstand how they can be perfect! But then I find their photos made by paparazzi and see how they look in real life: no perfect tan, no perfect body, no beautiful hair and no beautiful face. And no reason for disappointment fot me. Advertisment promises to make us slim and good-looking, offer to earn a lot of money without working and to buy a lot of useful things that will make our life better. But it doesn't tell that diet pills are seriously harmful for our health, melting in the mouth chocolate sweets won't help us to find our love and the price of messages we send to get a chance to win in a lottery are higher than of a prize.
Many people say that they may not beleive the advertisment, but they beleive news that they think are based on real facts and cannot lie. But what if news show only a half of real events? What if programms tell it in different ways for some own benefit?
Sometimes people come under this influence because they want to beleive that they can become rich and good-looking hand over fist. But we should be careful and always prove the facts we are going to beleive. And then always make our own opinion about such tihngs to keep out of such lie.
